Coroner releases identity of man who died in Phenix City motorcycle accident

A single-vehicle accident Monday in Phenix City has left one person dead, according to Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr.

The motorcycle crash occurred on U.S. Highway 80 East in Phenix City, Sumbry said.

Sumbry identified the victim as 26-year-old Nathaniel Haddix of Fortson, Georgia. Haddix was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:20 a.m., according to Sumbry.

The cause of death was blunt-force injuries to the head and body, Sumbry said.
