Muscogee County coroner identifies pedestrian who died in Columbus crash

The Muscogee County coroner has identified the victim in a vehicular fatality that happened Saturday night in Columbus.

The Columbus Police Department said they responded to Manchester Expressway to a “vehicle vs. pedestrian crash,” according to a post from CPD’s X page.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the victim as 46-year-old Sara Williams. Bryan said Williams was pronounced dead at 10:58 p.m. Saturday at a local hospital after being struck by a vehicle.

The investigation is being led by CPD Motor Squad, according to the X post.
