Columbus player hits a six-figure jackpot in South Mississippi
While cars were Cruisin’ The Coast outside the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, South Mississippi’s lucky 21st jackpot winner of the year hit it big inside the resort.
Anita Tomlinson of Columbus, Georgia, was playing the Triple Double Diamond slot machine on Saturday, Oct. 11.
She had played 15 minutes when a $200 bet on the $100 machine won her $144,000 — and the machine and casino floor made some noise.
This is the eighth jackpot of $100,000 or more won at the Beau Rivage this year. It follows a $117,467 jackpot won two weeks earlier at the Beau Rivage by a player from Norcross, Georgia on a Buffalo Cash machine.
The wins at South Mississippi casinos already have outpaced 2024, when casinos paid out 17 jackpots of $100,000 or more through Dec. 31, totaling $5.95 million.
The 21 winners so far in 2025 are:

$402,411 —Won May 9 by Santigo S. at Golden Nugget Casino on the 21+3 Blackjack Progressive game.
$392,638 — Won July 2 at Scarlet Pearl Casino by unidentified person playing Fortune Pai Gow Poker
$300,000 — Won Feb. 15 by a player from Birmingham, Alabama, at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino on the same $100 denomination Triple Double Stars slot machine that hit a jackpot on Feb. 12.
$270,000 — Won Jan. 22 at Beau Rivage Casino during a rare snowstorm by a South Carolina player on a Triple Double Stars slot machine.
$233,519 — Won July 10 at IP Casino Biloxi by Jeffrey from Florida on a Light & Wonder’s Blazing 7s Blackjack table.
$211,961 — Won June 16 at Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi by Jayne from Texas, on a DJ Poker game.
$204,273 — Won Aug. 15 at Palace Casino Biloxi by Charles H. from Robertsdale, Alabama on a Lightning Buffalo Link.
$150,000 — Won Feb. 12 by a player from Gulfport at Beau Rivage Casino on a Triple Double Stars machine.
$150,000 — Won March 21 at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi. A Georgia player won $1000,000 and $50,000 just minutes apart on Triple Triple Bonus video poker.
$144,563 — Won June 13 at Scarlet Pearl Casino by an unidentified woman playing at the Blackjack Blazing 7s table.
