Who will be crowned the cutest dog in Columbus? Cast your vote now
Everybody thinks their pup is the cutest of them all, but how would you like to see your furry, four-legged friend get the recognition it deserves?
The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer is looking to award a local pooch with the honor.
Dogs from across the country will compete in their area, but the winner from each will be rolled into a national poll. The winner of that final round will receive all the glory and be crowned the national winner.
This poll is far from scientific, but it does give us an excuse to meet these three cuties.
Meet the cute dog contestants
Nala
Nala is a one-year-old German Shepard/Lab mix submitted by her humans, Samuel and Grace, for her temperament and affection. Nala had an unfortunate start as part of a litter of eight puppies that were dumped in the rain in Statesboro, Georgia, but she is living a good life now.
Even though she was in poor health, her owners fell in love with her immediately and delight in their co-parenting duties. They said, “today she is happy and healthy and one of the sweetest and energetic dogs.”
Lola
French Bulldogs are known to be gentle and make extremely friendly companions. Her human, Clarissa Raine, says she loves to play with her toys, and from the looks of it, she likes to guard them well too.
Pickles
At six months old, Pickles is the baby of the bunch. She is a Dachshund Piebald, which refers to his large, irregular patches of white fur on a colored background. These babies are delightful and curious and are known to develop strong social bonds with their humans and other animals, alike.
Her human, Misty, says his favorite hobby is fighting with his best friend, Dash, probably over his favorite toys.

The deadline for votes is at midnight (ET) on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
