A pedestrian is dead after being struck by multiple vehicles Saturday in Columbus, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.

A post Saturday on the Columbus Police Department’s X page says officers were on the scene of a vehicle vs. pedestrian incident at River Road and 35th Street.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead, and CPD’s Motor Squad took the lead on the investigation, according to the post.

Buddy Bryan identified the victim as Adam White, 48. He said White was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:35 p.m.

White was crossing the road when he collapsed on the eastbound lanes, according to Bryan.

White was then run over by three vehicles, according to Bryan.

White’s body will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy, Bryan said.
