What’s the most Columbus food you like to eat? Nominate your favorite local dishes here
We want to know what you know. Tell the Ledger-Enquirer what foods, dishes, or menu items feel unmistakably Columbus to you? The kind of eats that you just can’t get anywhere else.
It’s not just about where to eat, but what you eat when you get there. And I’m not talking about the obvious. I want the hidden gems and the off-menu recs.
Maybe it’s a plate you’d never think to order anywhere else. Maybe it’s something visitors side-eye until you insist, “Just trust me.” Or maybe it’s a local mashup, specialty, or snack that makes no sense unless you grew up here and are in the know.
We’re looking for nominations for foods or dishes that feel unique to Columbus and sparks debate, loyalty, or at least a great story. This isn’t about “best restaurant” lists.
It’s about the dishes people crave, defend, and quietly judge others for not understanding.
If you’ve got a strong opinion (and let’s be honest, you probably do), now’s the time to share it.
How to nominate:
The deadline for nominations is Friday, Jan 16, so don’t sit on it too long.
- Email me directly at srose@ledger-enquirer.com
- Send a DM to @srose_ledger
- Or drop your pick in the comments on the attached video
If you can stand to reveal your secret, tell me the dish, where to get it, and why it matters to you and our community.
Let’s hear what you think belongs on the list, and don’t be afraid to ask around. We want to know it all!
