Image of facial reconstruction is released to help solve Troup County cold case
To help solve a cold case, the Troup County Sheriff’s Office released Thursday an image showing the front and side views of a facial reconstruction from the skull from a body that was found five years ago.
On May 15, 2021, deputies and investigators recovered an unidentified decomposed body from West Point Lake, according to the TCSO.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation determined the body was that of an adult Black woman, but her identity and cause of death were not determined, so the FBI created a facial reconstruction of the skull, the news release says.
If this image looks familiar, or if you know of an adult Black woman who went missing around that time, the TCSO encourages you to call Investigator Clay Bryant at 706-883-1616.
