After a salty, spirited first round, five local margarita spots favorites have made it to the final mix (see what I did there?). Each of these restaurants brings its own signature to the popular drink choice, and now it’s up to you, dear reader, to crown the city’s margarita champ.

The finalists

Sapo’s

3033 Manchester Expressway

The classic lime margarita is always a hit, but the mango blend is a close second.

Me Encanta

1231 Broadway suite 100

A newer contender to the marg game, they offer drinks with fresh fruit purees and brightly colored salt rims.

Guadalajara

6517 Kitten Lake #1, Midland

The margaritas here lean a little more traditional, but are smooth, balanced, and just strong.

Monarca

8100 Veterans Parkway suite 100

Their top-shelf tequila lineup includes several creative mix-ins like hibiscus or tamarind, with a fun modern atmosphere.

Mi Mexica

Their frozen margaritas are festive, colorful and are practically an art form.

Voting is now open until April 24, so it’s time to rally your group chat, tag your ‘rita-mates, and get to sipping.

The winner will be announced on May 1st, right in time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. I’d love to see your marg’ pics. Email me at srose@ledger-enquirer.com or find me on social media.
