Vote for one of these 3 Columbus breweries and taprooms in our poll of best of the best
The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer’s Best Brewery and Taproom has reached its final bracket, and we’re down to the final three.
One of these local spots will be crowned the city’s best brewery or taproom on July 1.
The finalists
The Cannon Brew Pub
The Cannon has been pouring craft beers on Broadway since 1996, with beers named after major Columbus institutions. I prefer the Golden Ale, named after Golden’s Foundry and Machine Works.
Featured brews:
- Goldens’ Ale
- City Mills Wheat
- Special ‘Ops I.P.A
- Red Jacket Ale
- Ironclad Dark Stout
This Uptown staple also won Columbus’ best burger, so you can eat good while you’re drinking good.
Scofflaw Brewing Co.
Their Columbus location is the first outside of Atlanta, Scofflaw Brewing has been a presence in Midcity Yards since 2023
You can choose from more than 40 beers on tap, play a little cornhole or fellowship with your buds outside. That’s my favorite way to enjoy a Scofflaw beverage.
They have one of the biggest selections of IPAs, but when I’m there, I like the Float Shandy.
Featured brews:
- Basement
- Pog Basement
- Juice Quest
- Nice Lager
- Pogzilla
- Double Jeopardy
- Quest Coast
- %#$@ Cancer
- Float
Chattabrewchee Southern Brewhouse
Chattabrewchee Southern is a veteran-owned taproom on 6th Avenue and is exactly what you want in a brewhouse: accessible, down-to-earth-and welcoming. The handwritten beer boards, self-serve taps, food trucks, and laid-back atmosphere make you feel right at home.
They have so many beers to choose from, so no matter what you like, there’s something for you. I like Lindsay Lager the most, but sometimes I’ll sip on their Plane Seltzer.
Featured brews:
- SIC (CoPilot)
- Lindsay Lager
- Warbird
- Westy
- AV8R Amber
- Kentucky Mud
- Night Sortie
- Plane Seltzer
- Mile High
- Wilbur Wheat
