Pedestrian dies in fatal collision on Cusseta Road in Columbus

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night on Cusseta Road in Columbus.

According to a post at 1 a.m. Thursday on the Columbus Police Department’s X account, officers responded to the incident in the 2700 block of Cusseta Road.

CPD’s Motor Squad is investigating the crash, the post said.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the victim as 62-year-old Donald Marshall. Bryan said Marshall suffered blunt force trauma injuries.
