The long-running Whittlesey Road widening project will not be completed until June or July due to unforeseen problems, primarily related to utilities, according to state DOT board member Sam Wellborn. "We’ve run into a number of problems getting it finished,” Wellborn said. “But we’re back on track and it should be finished in June or July.” The construction project began in fall 2012 and was estimated to take about 2 ½ years to complete.
