Update: Truck driver reported missing found safe Thursday night

Update: Wayne Orlando Mack was found safe Thursday night at the Kroger’s business in Lanett, Ala., according to the Valley Police Department.

Original Story: Valley Police is asking the public to be on the lookout for a truck driver who went missing while on the job.

Wayne Orlando Mack, a 56-year-old employee with the Hirshbach Trucking Company, was last seen around midnight Monday at the Valley Jet Pep at 608 Fob James Drive. He was getting into a white vehicle that appeared to be a Nissan Maxima, Valley Police Maj. Mike Reynolds said. 

Mack has yet to make any contact with his family members, according to a press release.

Representatives with Hirshbach Trucking Company contacted authorities Tuesday when they weren't able to make contact with Mack, who had failed to make two delivers in the Atlanta area.

"They stated that, through the use of GPS, they had located the employee’s truck in the in the 600 block of Fob James Drive behind the Jet Pep," Reynolds said in the release.

Police said Mack is a 6-foot-6 tall black who weighs about 235 pounds. He has "salt-and-pepper hair," police added.
