Country music legend Dwight Yoakam is coming to Columbus on April 3 after releasing his 19th studio album last year.

Yoakam, 59, is known for songs "A Thousand Miles from Nowhere," "Fast as You" and "Suspicious Minds."

Tickets for the concert at the Columbus Civic Center, 400 Fourth St., will go on sale Friday. They'll start at $29, with options at $49 and $59.

Mike Blackwell, who is promoting the concert, said they'll only have about four rows of chairs on the floor and the rest will be standing-room options with several bars open at that level to create a "honky tonk-type atmosphere."

Yoakam released his album "Second Hand Heart" last year, with it debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It was Yoakam's highest-charting album since 1988, according to billboard.com. In addition to music, Yoakam also has starred in television shows and movies.

Two months after Yoakam plays, Ronnie Milsap also will be in Columbus to perform on June 4 at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.

Milsap, 73, is completing a farewell tour where he'll likely play many of his 40 No. 1 records. The six-time Grammy-award winner is known for hits "It was Almost like a Song," "Smoky Mountain Rain," "Any Day Now" and many more.

Tickets for that concert go on sale April 15. They'll be $39-$49.
