Structure on fire on 43rd Avenue in Phenix City
Officials in east Alabama responded Monday afternoon to a fire on 43rd Avenue in Phenix City.
Phenix City police, Care ambulance services and Smith Station Fire & Rescue were on the scene. Crawford Volunteer Fire Department later responded to help battle the structure fire.
Officials on the scene declined to comment. The burning building is near Morning Glory Ministries at 2309 43rd Ave., but the church doesn’t appear to be affected.
Officials were heard on the police scanner noting a propane tank was in the backyard of the 43rd Avenue structure.
