Columbus man dies in Harris County crash

A 30-year-old Columbus man died Monday night after crashing into a utility pole in Harris County.

Christopher Norris was driving a pickup truck on Highway 27 at about 7:30 p.m. when the incident occurred, said Harris County Coroner Joe Weldon. He was about seven miles south of Hamilton when the vehicle veered off the roadway, hit a utility pole and then a tree.

Weldon said Norris was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
