Phenix City teen killed in collision on U.S. 80 in Macon County
A Phenix City teen was killed Friday afternoon after the car she was driving collided with a tractor-trailer truck on U.S. 80, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.
Rameshe Gabrielle Weaver , 18, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3:40 p.m. crash, authorities at the Opelika, Ala., post said.
Troopers said she was driving a 2007 Buick Lacrosse when it collided with a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer at the 185 mile marker near Macon County 65.
The driver of the truck was injured and transported to a local hospital. No details were available on the driver’s condition.
The collision remains under investigation by state troopers.
