Columbus Council will be asked to appropriate more than $115,000 Tuesday morning to demolish 16 dilapidated houses, according to council’s agenda.

The houses are:

510 Third Ave., Bianca Tarver and Sheila Lebron, owners.

2813 Colorado St., Milton Cannon and Lawson O’Neal, owners.

2801 Colorado St., Ingrid and Vince Owens, owners.

2805, 2807 and 2811 Colorado St., Rozell Crawford, owner.

5617 Lorenzo Road, Matthew A. Aldridge, owner.

1202 Calvin Ave. (Jose Collazo Yamill and Alma Josephine Chapman, owners.

1412 Rhodes St., Charlie L. Davis (deceased), owner.

413 Bernard Drive., Abdulloev Firus, owner.

7 Cantrell Drive, Edith E. Bloodworth, owner.

1813 Penn Ave., Perry Tindall, owner.

2445 Howe Ave., SE40 W&L, LLC, owner.

4201 Meritas Drive, Donald Walley, owner.

1245 Dogwood Ave., James L. Carter, Jr. and Josie A. and Anthony B. Carter, owners.

2206 Marion St., Thomas and Annie Strum, estate of C/O James Strum, owners.

Property owners may appeal the decision to demolish their houses to council, and can be given an opportunity to remedy the condition of the property. But, absent a reprieve, the houses will be put on a list to be demolished.

The property owners may also contract to have the house demolished and the lot cleared. But if the city contractor does the job, the owner will be billed for the work and if they do not pay, a lien will be placed on the property.
