Camden man, 24, killed in Elmore County wreck on Redland Road
A 24-year-old Camden man was died in a single-vehicle crash discovered April 28 on Elmore County 8 near Scholars Drive, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities said John Helmers Jr. was killed when the 2004 Ford F-150 he was driving left the road and struck a tree about four miles east of Wetumpka. Helmers, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
