Midway man, 59, killed in Bullock County crash
A 59-year-old Midway man died Monday night in a single-vehicle wreck on Bullock County 106, according to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities said Bernard Jackson was killed when the Ford Expedition he was driving left Bullock County 106 approximately 15 miles northwest of Union Springs and overturned. Jackson, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene of the 8:30 p.m. crash.
A preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol may have been a factor, but nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
