Opelika woman dies after being struck by truck in Macon County

A 32-year-old woman from Opelika, Ala., died Tuesday night after being struck by a pickup truck in Macon County on Highway 29, according to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Authorities said Jessica Sutton was killed when a 2005 Ford F-150 hit her in Little Texas, Ala., at 9:04 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle remained on the scene until authorities arrived, said Sgt. Steve Jarrett with the ALEA.

No additional information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
