Two men and juvenile charged in five Auburn car break-ins

The Auburn Police Division has charged three suspects in connection with five car breakins in the area of East Thach Avenue, Magnolia Avenue and Cedercrest Circle in Auburn.

They were arrested Tuesday and identified as Shahiem Trimble, 19, of Auburn, Michael Trimble, 20, of Montgomery, and a 16-year-old juvenile, face several counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, several counts of theft of property and possession of marijuana second degree. The younger Trimble also faces carrying a pistol without a permit charge and the older Trimble was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police. Both are held on $19,000 bond each at the Lee County Detention Facility. The juvenile is held at the Lee County Youth Development Center for a hearing.

Police were called to an auto break-in at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Thach Avenue. Responding officers found two suspects and took both into custody.

A third suspect was captured after fleeing from officers on foot. Police also determined that electronics, computers and cash valued at more than $3,100 were taken from the vehicles.
