The Opelika Police Department is trying to identify a man who tried to cash a forged check at Charter Bank in Opelika, Ala.

Police said the check was presented to a bank teller at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 9, 2016 at the 701 Second Ave. bank. After the man was asked for identification, he left the bank.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing glasses and white t-shirt.
