Man steals $1,300 worth of electronics from Auburn home, police say

A 22-year-old Opelika man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly stole $1,300 worth of electronics from an Auburn home, according to a news release from the Auburn Police Department.

Quincy Raymond Gilmore faces one count of third-degree burglary and third-degree theft of property in relation to the incident. He was booked into the Lee County Jail under a $4,000 bond.

Authorities said someone broke into a residence in the 200 block of Martin Avenue on Saturday and stole $1,300 worth of electronics.

Officials said they identified Gilmore as the suspect and found him in a vehicle with the stolen property. He was arrested on unrelated charges before being charged in connection with the burglary.
