Masked gunman leaps over counter during Waffle House robbery
Witnesses reported that a gunman entered a Valley, Ala., Waffle House Wednesday morning, jumped over the service counter, and then burst into the manager’s office, where he threatened the manager with a gun and demanded money, according to a news release.
He left the 20th Avenue restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot, heading into the neighborhood behind the building, police say. No injuries were reported to the manager or any of the witnesses.
The suspect was described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, and weighing approximately 160-180 pounds. He was wearing a black mask, black pants, a black hoodie and black high-top tennis shoes with blue or black and white shorts.
