Valley police release photo of suspected Waffle House robber
Valley authorities have released a photo of a man who robbed the Waffle House on 20th Avenue early Wednesday morning.
Police said the gunman is about 5-foot-10 and weighs between 160 or 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black mask, black hoodie, partly white shorts and black high-top tennis shoes with white soles.
Authorities said they were called to the Waffle House at 2800 20th Avenue around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday to investigate an armed robbery.
Witnesses said a black man in his late teens to early 20s entered the restaurant, jumped over the counter and went into the manager’s office. He confronted the manager with a handgun and demanded money, authorities said in a news release.
He then ran from the business with the cash and headed into a nearby neighborhood. No one was injured during the incident.
Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to call the Valley Police Department at 334-756-5200 or the Valley Area Crime Stoppers at 334-756-8200.
