Columbus man charged with murder in Dekalb County
Two days after a Columbus woman was gunned down outside a Waffle House in Decatur, a Columbus man was charged with felony murder Thursday in Dekalb County and held in the Muscogee County Jail, authorities said.
Anthony Perryman, 27, was taken into custody without incident at 1:46 p.m. on Hunter Court in Columbus. Authorities are holding him for the Dekalb County Police Department.
Tanaya Dunlap, 31, was shot and killed early Tuesday outside a Waffle House restaurant in Decatur, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office said. She was pronounced dead at 2:13 a.m. at the Grady Memorial Hospital, said Mark Anglin, the chief investigator with the examiner’s office.
DeKalb County police were called to the Waffle House at 4750 Flat Shoals Parkway around 2 a.m. Tuesday to investigate a shooting. No additional details are available at this time.
