3 Phenix City day care workers arrested on child endangerment charge
Three Phenix City day care workers have been arrested with each being charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones, 45-year-old Cynthia Duman, 26-year-old Jennifer Parette and 66-year-old Mary Parette were arrested Monday.
Jones said a woman went to the day care where her 21-month-old child was being taken care of and found the child strapped to a car seat in a closet.
Jones said that after an investigation it was decided to make the arrests. He said the charge is a Class A misdemeanor.
