Phenix City man arrested by Fort Benning police

A Phenix City man accused of firing a gun inside the After 5 Sports Bar and Grill was arrested by military police at Fort Benning, Columbus police said Thursday.

Delewis Antwan Collier, 34, was arrested on outstanding warrants by the military police. He was charged with one count each of reckless conduct and discharging a firearm on the street in the April 3 incident at 1836 Midtown Drive. He is scheduled for an 8 a.m. Friday hearing in Recorder’s Court.

Police were called to the club about 11:30 p.m. to check on gunshot inside the business.
