An employee of the Carousel Lounge on Victory drive is facing drug charges after being arrested early Saturday morning at the Columbus business.
According to Columbus police, 22-year-old Jwane Simone Price has been charged with possession, manufacture, distribution of a controlled substance as well as possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
The arrest was made around 12:30 a.m.
A police report says that Saturday morning, agents from the special operations unit were conducting an ABC compliance check at the bar when one asked Price for her ABC card. She handed him a Metra bus card which she was told was not acceptable.
Police say Price told the officer she had a valid ABC card and when she opened her wallet the agent observed a powdered substance in two small plastic bags in plain view. The substance was suspected to be powdered cocaine, approximately .3 grams with a street value of $30.
Price was taken into custody and a search found a green leafy susbstance beleived to be marijuana, approximately one gram with a street value of $10, in her purse.
Police say Price claimed possession of the marijuana but said she was holding the cocaine for a friend.
Price is currently in the Muscogee County Jail.
