Man dies during domestic dispute on Fourth Avenue
One man is dead after sustaining an injury during a domestic dispute at 3308 Fourth Ave., authorities said.
Sherod Ramsey, 37, of Columbus was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:30 a.m., said Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
Bryan said the man appeared to have died of a severed artery after punching his arm through a window. He may have bled to death.
The coroner said an earlier report of two people dead was incorrect. That report was given to his deputy coroner.
The death remains under investigation by police detectives who were using scanning equipment Saturday morning.
