Columbus police have issued a murder warrant for the man who was living with the 43-year-old woman found dead July 17 in her Meloy Drive home.

Cory Hill, who was identified as the 42-year-old suspect, was described as a 157-pound black man about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He was last seen in the area of Dawson, Ga., according to police.

“Hill should be considered armed and dangerous,” Lt. Greg Touchberry said in a release.

Authorities said Ruby Lloyd’s family had not heard from her hours before she was found dead around 1:30 a.m. July 17 in her house at 33 Meloy Drive. Her 2011 Ford F-150 was missing from the residence.

The four-door vehicle is either light brown or bronze. It has a Georgia tag that reads PVY 1284, according to police.

Officials have yet to clarify whether the vehicle has been located.

Anyone with information about this incident or Hill’s whereabouts is asked to call Sgt. Dan Lyon at 706-225-4422 or dlyon@columbusga.org.
