Auburn man charged with theft, possession of marijuana
A 38-year-old Auburn man has been arrested and is in Lee County Jail on theft and possession charges.
William David McConnell was charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, theft of property of 4th degree, possession of marijuana second degree, and receiving stolen property 4th degree.
According to an official report, the arrest stems from an investigation into a report of theft from a parked vehicle on Gay Street on August 18.
The victim said someone entered a 2012 Audi A4 and stole an electronic device.
Police say McConnell was indentified on video.
He is in custody on a $6,000 bond.
