Police arrest teen in August armed robbery
Police, have arrested a teen in an armed robbery that took place in Auburn, Ala. on August 17.
According to an official report, charged with robbery first degree is 19-year-old Jakobe Keshun Thomas ofAlexander City, Ala.
Thomas,, who had been developed as a suspect by Auburn police, was arrested Wednesday morning by Alexander City Police during a traffic stop.
Police say the pickup truck used in the robbery was recovered.
Police are still searching for a second suspect.
The robbery occurred in the afternoon in the parking lot of a business located in the 1600 block of Opelika Road.
Police say the female victim exited her vehicle and was approached by a black male with a handgun who demanded money.
The suspect took her purse containing cash and a cell phone. He then got into a passenger side of a truck and got away.
There was video footage of the truck and a suspect.
