Man accused of taking cigarettes from Circle K arrested
A man accused of taking cigarettes from the Circle K on Manchester Expressway was taken into custody early Thursday morning, Columbus police said.
Courtney Alexander Short faces one county of robbery and obstruction of a police officer after his 1 a.m. arrest. He is held in the Muscogee County Jail for a Recorder’s Court hearing at 8 a.m Friday.
His arrest stems from a Tuesday investigation into nearly $600 worth of cigarettes. Officers were called to the 2510 Manchester Expressway convenience store at 11:54 p.m.
Short is a suspect in three other cases and may face additional charges.
