A man accused of kidnapping a woman and two boys in July before he was arrested in Spanish Fort, Ala., is now held in the Muscogee County Jail, officials said.
Joey Faulk, 32, was transported from the Baldwin County Corrections Center and booked into the county jail at 11 a.m. Friday. He is charged with three counts each of kidnapping and aggravated assault. A court hearing is set for 9 a.m. Thursday in Recorder’s Court.
An Amber Alert was issued for Faulk in Columbus after a woman and two boys were kidnapped July 1 from the Clarion Inn, 2800 Manchester Expressway. Police were called to the hotel at 10:07 p.m. to investigate the abduction.
Authorities took Faulk into custody in Spanish Fort, Ala., on July 2. He has been held almost three months in the Baldwin County facility until he was extradited to Columbus.
