Investigators say fire at probation office caused by Molotov cocktail
Investigators say a fire at a probation office in Canton, Ga., Monday morning was arson.
Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens made the announcement on his department’s website.
According to the report, the fire at a Department of Community Supervision probation office at 100 Medical Lane in Canton occurred around 5 a.m. and was started by a petrol bomb known as a Molotov cocktail being thrown through the window.
The blaze heavily damaged the front lobby area resulting in more than $10,000 in damage.
