Boy charged after bringing weapon to East Columbus Magnet Academy, police say
A 13-year-old boy was charged Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly brought a weapon to East Columbus Magnet Academy, authorities said.
He was charged with carrying a weapon on school property.
A Columbus police officer was working part-time at East Columbus Magnet Academy at 6100 Georgetown Drive when a school adminstrator informed her that a student brought a weapon to school. He allegedly had the weapon while waiting for the bus.
No further details were given in the police report.
