Police: Man waving pistol in Outlaws parking lot arrested on Veterans Parkway

A Columbus man found waving a .45-caliber Glock pistol and arguing in the parking lot of Outlaws Saloon was taken into custody early Saturday, police said.

Derrick Jordan Steen, 27, was charged with disorderly while intoxicated and reckless conduct after his 2:56 a.m. arrest outside 6499 Veterans Parkway. He was held in the Muscogee County Jail for an 8 a.m. Tuesday hearing in Recorder’s Court.

Police officer Michael Aguilar was on patrol in the parking lot of the bar when he observed three people arguing. Steen was yelling in the parking lot while waving the pistol in the air.

No one was injured during the incident. Police didn’t specify whether the gun was loaded.
