Man caught breaking into 3 homes, police say

A 20-year-old was accused of stealing nearly $400 worth of items from three Auburn homes on Armstrong Street, according to a news release from Auburn police.

Patrick Andres Grace, 20, of Auburn faces two counts of second-degree burglary and one count each of third-degree theft of property and fourth-degree theft of property. He was booked in the Lee County Jail under bonds totaling $11,500.

Additional charges may be filed in the case.

Auburn police were called to the 200 block of Armstrong Street on Dec. 9 to investigate after three homes were burglarized. The same individual was seen in all three homes and confronted by the residents.

About $392 worth of items were reported stolen, including a credit card, gift cards, cash and other miscellaneous identification cards.

Authorities said Grace, who lived near victims, was found with $330 worth of the property and cash that was reported stolen.
