Death of Georgia prisoner a suspected homicide
The death of an inmate at Telfair State Prison in Helena, Ga. is being investigated as a suspected homicide.
According to an official report, special agents with the Georgia Department of Corrections’ Office of Professional Standards believe Chad Jacobs died as a result of injuries sustained during an altercation involving several inmates.
Jacobs was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m. Sunday.
Jacobs was sentenced in 2014 in Franklin County for trafficking methamphetamines.
