Coroner identifies body found in Phenix City woods
Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. says a body found on Dec. 8 in a wooded area in Phenix City has been identified.
Sumbry said the body is that of 43-year-old Jeffrey Michael McAlister.
Sumbry said McAlister was homeless.
He was found in an area between Brickyard Road and Colin Powell Parkway.
Sumbry said that the cause of death is pending.
