The Federal Bureau of Investigation is searching for a 58-year-old accused of robbing two banks in Georgia and one in South Carolina months after being released from prison in September, authorities said.

Frank Douglas was accused of three bank robberies that occurred between Nov. 27 and Dec. 5. He is known to stay at budget hotels and motels near the interstate and frequent homeless shelters under different aliases, the FBI stated in a news release.

Douglas is charged with the bank robbery that occurred Nov. 27 in North Augusta, S.C. It happened about a month after he was released from U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

Officials believe he robbed the BB&T at 1887 GA-20 SE in Conyers, Ga. three days later. He allegedly passed a demand note to bank employees and left the location with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Dec. 5, Douglas was accused of robbing the Bank of America at 1070 Gaines School Road in Athens, Ga. He allegedly passed a note to a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

In the latest incidents, he was accused of telling witnesses he had a gun and threatening to shoot employees if they didn't comply. Officials said he didn't present any weapon during any of the robberies, but the public should consider him armed and dangerous.

The agencies assisting the FBI in their investigation are the Athens-Clarke County Police Department and the Conyers Police Department.
