Car strikes and kills 19-year-old bicyclist near Montgomery
A 19-year-old bicyclist was struck by a car and killed Saturday evening near Montgomery, Ala., according to a release from Corporal Jess Thornton of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
At around 7:20 p.m., 19-year-old Garrett Daniel Bracaloni was cycling on U.S. 31, about five miles north of Prattville, Ala., when he was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, according to police.
The driver stayed at the scene, and Bracaloni was pronounced dead when emergency officials arrived.
State troopers are still investigating the crash and saw no further information is available at this time.
