Two found with more than $800 worth of Ecstasy, Columbus police say

A Columbus man and woman were arrested after authorities found more than $800 worth of Ecstasy during a traffic stop near Hilton Avenue, authorities said.

Eric Kimbrough, 43, and Cynthia Brier, 42, face one count each of possession of Ecstasy with the intent to distribute and possession of marijuana. They were booked into the Muscogee County Jail, but later released on bond.

He was also charged with possession of drug-related objects, while she faces an additional charge of failure to maintain lane.

A Columbus police officer conducted a traffic stop around 3:26 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Hilton Avenue and 13th Street. Kimbrough and Brier were the occupants in the vehicle.

During the stop, police said they found 14.3 grams of marijuana (street value of $143), 43 Ecstasy pills (street value of $860) and one digital scale. No further details were given.
