Fireworks now illegal in Eufaula
Fireworks are now within the city limits of Eufaula, Ala.
On Dec. 18, the Eufaula City Council meeting an amendment of Section 42-41 of the Code of Ordinances was passed.
In the new wording, it is now illegal to possess fireworks inside the city limits.
According to an official report, the section also allows for the seizure of illegally possessed fireworks and the issuance of a summons and complaint for any fireworks in conflict with the section.
The updated wording of the section was necessitated by the public safety and nuisance concerns of these devices and the dangers they pose to persons and property.
The ordinance will become effective Dec. 22.
