A woman was accused of stabbing a man in the back of the head while in the presence of four children, authorities said.

Jessica Nickerson, 27, faces one count each of aggravated assault, possession of a knife during a crime, third-degree child cruelty, battery and giving false information. She was booked into the Muscogee County Jail for a 2 pm. Friday hearing in Columbus Recorder's Court.

Columbus police were called to the 2500 block of Broadmoor Drive around 5 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a stabbing. The victim's current condition is unknown.
