Columbus man charged in apartment shooting that left one wounded
A 25-year-old was arrested Thursday in connection with the Nov. 18 shooting at Ballard Way Apartment on Hunter Road that left a man wounded, authorities said.
Dontavius Upshaw was taken into custody near Illges and Morehouse Street and charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery. He was booked into the Muscogee County Jail for an 8 a.m. Saturday hearing in Columbus Recorder's Court.
Columbus police were called to Ballard Way Apartments at 5600 Hunter Road around 7:10 p.m. Nov. 18 to investigate a shooting. A report indicates that the victim was wounded during an armed robbery, but no further details were immediately released.
