Columbus police charge man with shoplifting at Piggly Wiggly on Christmas Eve
Michael D. Askew was arrested and charged with shoplifting at a Piggly Wiggly on Christmas Eve, according to a Columbus Police Department report.
At 10:23 a.m. Sunday, two police officers were dispatched to the supermarket at 910 Brown Ave., the report says. Askew was taken to the Muscogee County Jail, according to the jail's intake docket.
