Police say man hit woman’s head with hammer
Columbus police say a 44-year-old man struck a woman in the top of the head with a hammer causing a large gash.
According to a police report, Cornel Nero was arrested Sunday on Mason Drive and has been charged with aggravated assault.
He did not resist arrest.
Police say Nero hit the woman during an argument.
Nero is scheduled to appear in Columbus Recorder’s Court Monday at 8 a.m.
