Mother, 37, accused of striking son with car on Airport Thruway
A 37-year-old Columbus woman was taken into custody Thursday morning after she was accused of striking her son with a car, police said.
Lakendra Trice of Columbus was arrested in the parking lot of the shopping center at 2801 Airport Thruway. She was charged with one count of reckless conduct , taken to the Muscogee County Jail but later released on bond.
Police said Trice and her son were in a verbal dispute when the boy stepped from the 2006 blue Saturn she was driving. That’s when Trice allegedly struck the boy with the vehicle.
